Do I have an account?
Golf: The Journey plays fully without one. An account exists only if you chose to back up your careers to the cloud in the iPhone or Android app, by signing in with an email address. The game on Steam has no accounts. If you never signed in, there is nothing to delete.
Delete it in the app
This is the quickest way, and it deletes everything at once.
- Open the game and go to Settings, then Account.
- Choose “Delete account and cloud data”, and confirm.
Or ask us by email
If you can no longer open the app, email hello@golfthejourney.com from the address you used to sign in, with “Delete my account” as the subject. We will delete the account and its cloud saves within 30 days. Writing from the address on the account is how we know the request is yours.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in email address and the account itself.
- Every career you had backed up to the cloud.
What is not
- Careers on your own device. They are stored there, not in the account, and they stay until you delete them or the app. Deleting the account only removes the cloud copies.
- Your purchase. It belongs to your App Store or Google Play account, which we cannot delete, and you keep the game.
- Opted-in usage and crash data. It is tied to a random identifier on your device, not to your account or email, so we cannot find it to delete. It is kept for a limited time, as set out in the privacy policy.
- The launch list, and feedback you sent. They are separate from the account. Unsubscribe from the list with the link in any email, or email us to remove either.
